Givenchy Very Irrésistible Sensual

Very Irrésistible Sensual by Givenchy was first launched in 2005 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Dominique Ropion. The muse behind Givenchy Very Irrésistible Sensual perfume line is the charmingly beautiful Liv Tyler.

Top Notes

Heart Notes
Rose, Star Anise

Base Notes
Patchouli, Vanilla

Givenchy Very Irrésistible Sensual includes a mixture of centofolia rose, peony rose, fantasia rose, passion rose, emotion rose, verbena leaf, star anise, vanilla and patchouli.

To be honest, I have never been attracted to the scent of roses. I find them to be a bit too mature, a little too soapy, a little too powdery, and most of the time they're also a bit headache inducing. But I wanted to try this as perfumes between late 90s - early 2000s tend to be more well blended and never quite as sweet as today's scent.

When I first tried this, I was expecting the harsh dry opening of roses. But instead I get a soft whift of peony and roses, a slightly sugary sweet floral with a hint of musk. It' s sensual and intoxicating, I find it to be mysterious and very irresistable. I actually wore this during the day and never find it to be cloying, it also has a great staying power. It dries down to a musky vanilla base with hints of woody notes from the earthy patchouli.

It also has the perfect sillage, people get a whiff of this intoxicating scent when you walk pass. It's subtle and doesn't scream from across the room, hello La Vie Est Belle, lol.

Givenchy Very Irrésistible Sensual is a sophisticated and distintive scent as I haven't smell anything quite as similar as this. A unique and inviting scent that will set you apart from the current mass of sticky sweet smelling crowds.

Snow White & The Evil Queen

Back in September, we did our cosplay photoshoot based on the classic animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions. This was done a few hours before we went to Otafuse, a cosplay event held yearly in Suria Sabah.

This time, we were not keen on the idea of doing outdoor photoshoot as our costumes were a bit heavy and we don't really wanna attract too much attention 😅 So this photoshoot is done in Irene's living room, with her dog, Robin intensely watching that little birdie on my hand the entire time. lol.

A little help from Photoshop and suddenly I'm in the middle of a thick forest 😂

I always thought Irene suits villanous characters better because she looks more natural acting all serious and cold. As can be seen from this picture, lolz.

A change of background that's much more fitting for a queen 😂

Acting all prim and proper at Snow White's Cottage 😂

And lastly a photoshop picture of The Evil Queen, creeping people out from her castle balcony 😱

Robin, Irene's french bulldog reminds me of a little pig. He's super heavy and has a habit of biting people's toes everytime he gets a little too excited. Since our dresses were super long, we managed to escape from his extra friendly attack that day. But he did managed to lick off some of our makeup, ewwwwww 😂

Overall we had a fun time portraying Snow White & The Evil Queen 💕

Sally From The Nightmare Before Christmas

Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas has always been my favourite out of all the other Disney characters. A humanoid rag doll created by Dr. Finkelstein, stitched together with dead leaves as stuffing, she is unlike any other Disney heroines, which I loveeeee.

Sally's figurine is quite rare here but I did managed to get this a long long time ago.

For Last year's Halloween, we dressed up as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas and Emily from The Corpse Bride. But this year, Irene was super busy and there's a clash in her schedule, so I'm all alone doing face painting this time and all alone in my quest of scaring people off, lol.

Previously, I didn't get the correct shade for Sally's skin, which end up having my brother complaining the whole time how much time it took to edit them to the correct shade 😂. This time, I managed to get the correct shade by combining blue, green and white body paint. I even managed to blend with the turquoise colour of my bedroom wall, lmao.

It took me over 3 hours to paint my whole face and arms. Last year I forgot to draw some of the stitches for Sally, this time I drew all the lines for the stitches slowly and meticulously. Thankfully I managed to squeeze into my Sally dress after accidentally loosing a few pounds due to me being sick again, lol. My Sally dress is made by Irene, who hand painted, hand sew all the design and stitches on the dress.

Face painting and body painting are super fun though they're very time consuming. I still haven't mastered the art for a sweat proof/smudge proof look, so after the photoshoot, I end up leaving prints of my turquoise shade hand and body paints all over the furnitures on my room 😅 Well there's still room for improvement, until next time!

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park

Last Sunday, we went for a surprise visit to Lok Kawi Wildlife Park while attending my best friend's wedding reception at J Borneo Native Village, it was supposed to be a short trip but we ended up spending a few hours there, lol.

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park is managed by Sabah Wildlife Department under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment. My last visit here was 2011, which was a long long time ago. Some of the areas here were closed now as they're doing major renovations on the animals enclosures. The entrance fee is RM10 for Malaysians and RM15 for non-Malaysians.

It was cloudy that day, the perfect weather for lazing around, according to this sleepy looking orang Utan.

The big guy up there wasn't too keen on seeing all the visitors. But we did get a friendly smile from the sleepy looking Orang Utan. lolz.

The proboscis monkey is a funny looking monkey. These guys were so into their food they don't even bother looking at us. My spirit animal. Lmao.

Om Nom Nom

The endangered species of Borneo pygmy elephants can be found here. Some of the animals here in Lok Kawi Wildlife Park are rescued during illegal poaching in the wild and some are seized from private owners.

Obot, the Sun Bear that went into alert mode after we called his name. lol.

Beautiful Hornbill

A group of deer resting under a tree.

These kids were so enthusiastic in feeding these deers, since it's the only time we're allowed to feed the animal here.

Om Nom Nom

A sad looking pony who came out of this pitiful looking shed to greet us. I'm super hoping they'll re-paint the whole shed, give it a new home makeover because this is no home for a pony. A few pats on the head and a goodbye wave and off we go, leaving the pony all alone again 😔

The friendly Macaw

A rescued Binturong also known as Bearcat performed a few tricks of it's own.

Here he is showing off his acrobatic skills.

Amber the python, everyone was keen to pet him. The guy who handles the show was the same guy who managed the show in 2011, he didn't seem to look any older. This goes to show that people who enjoy doing their job will look much younger than others 😂

There's a Botanical Garden which is managed by the Sabah Forestry Department. But we ran out of time so I didn't get to explore my favourite plants and bugs. Overall it was a fun filled journey and children would definitely enjoy their time here.

Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask (Red Wine)

"Holika Holikacast a spell on your wishes."

Holika Holika is a well known Korean skincare & cosmetics brand. Their logo, a silhouette of a witch riding on a broomstick, with twinkling stars and purple hue background perfectly matches their motto by giving off a magical brand concept.

Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask (Red Wine) is an anti wrinkle sleeping pack that makes your skin smooth and resilient with shape memory moisture membrane of red wine.

This Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask is available in 2 variants, White Wine and Red Wine. White Wine is specifically for whitening while Red Wine is for wrinkle care. Since my Snow White cosplay is over and I no longer need to keep my skin fair. lol. I decided to choose Red Wine.

Ingredients :
Water, Wine Extract, Alcohol, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycereth-26,PEG-240/HDI Copolymer Bis-Decyltetradeceth-20 Ether, Glycerin, Bis-PEG-18Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, PEG/PPG/Polybutylene Glycol-8/5/3Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/PVP Crosspolymer, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Extract, Bergenia Ciliata Root Extract, Viola Mandshurica Flower Extract, Impatiens Balsamina Flower Extract, Xanthan Gum, Adenosine, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Fragrance, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Yellow 5 (CI 15985), Red 227 (CI 17200)

Texture wise, this sleeping mask has a gel-like consistency, with a fruity grape scent, that reminds me a lot of the grape syrup juice that I used to buy during secondary school days. It absorbs easily on my skin, though I do try to control the amount that I used on each application as I have combination skin that tends to break out easily. Luckily, this product doesn't cause any irritation on my sensitive skin even though it contains alcohol.

I love the shape memory moisture membrane. I could dig a hole in the middle of the gel-like sleeping mask and it'll always goes back to it's uniform, even shape. Perfect for those with an OCD tendency to always want things to be in perfect shape. lol.

Overall, I find Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask (Red Wine) works well in keeping skin smooth and bouncy. My skin feels super smooth the next day I woke up after using it. It also doesn't leave any greasy and oily feeling on my skin.

In terms of wrinkles, it does works in keeping those fine lines looking super smooth. For major wrinkles, this might take much more time for results to show. Though I do think it's quite sufficient for those who just started a wrinkle care routine. Besides, the packaging is super adorable, a wine barrel shaped glass jar with a miniature spoon. Definitely worth as a display on everyone's vanity table!

Jesselton Artisan Market - Christmas Edition

Jesselton Artisan Market is a local art market that features unique handmade items from creative artisans. The Christmas edition of Jesselton Artisan Market was held on the 2nd and 3th December. This time it features a whole lot of Christmas theme decor and art installations. I even found my fellow fairy friends at the middle of Jesselton Artisan Market 😍

I love bugs, so The Little Silly Shop caught my eyes from faaaaar away. Besides insect taxidermy, this booth also features cutesy mini pinecones Christmas trees.

Another booth that caught my eyes is the Pink Dinosoar. The mini unicorn & the pink Brontosaurus are so adorable 😍

And here's some of their other items. Their mini clay succulent pendants are pretty unique too.

This funny looking plant holder is perfect for those who love quirky decor.

Mini Christmas Town by The Urbanist x The Lab. This is really impressive, I love the precision of the design and the vintage looking train, it definitely adds a classic feel to it.

The Blackpuppeteer features wearable illustration based accessories, from earrings to bracelets, perfect for those with a kooky style.

Someone's been craving for Mango Sticky Rice for a long long time. lol. Imagine our surprise when we saw this much loved thai dessert being served by a local food truck, Gelato Lab.

But sadly since I haven't fully recovered from my long suffering cough, uhuk uhuk.... I decided to skip this dessert 😔

Apparently it taste a lot like the authentic Thai Mango Sticky Rice. This gets a nod of approval from our food tester of the day, Miss Irene.

Lots and lots of impressive art works

Previously, I'd bought an art print called Emersed from Chauxhien which I really love. It's the one in the middle of this picture, the one with a semi submerged head with peeking eyes. lol. This time I bought a pretty butterfly art print from her.

3D Dreamer Productions features 3D Paper Cut Light Box with whimsical designs from Peter Pan, Alice In Wonderland, How To Train Your Dragon and many more.

Our journey ends with this picture, a mountain of christmas presents that's all stacked up, mimicking a christmas tree. And that pretty much sums up our experience at the Christmas Edition of Jesselton Artisan Market.
