Gobdigoun Goat Milk First Step Tinted Tone-Up Cream

A few weeks back, I'd received a parcel from Gobdigoun, a Korean beauty brand that produces affordable as well as higher-end cosmetic and skincare products. This luxurious looking Goat Milk First Step Tinted Tone-Up Cream is the product that they'd sent in exchange for a product review.

Gobdigoun Goat Milk First Step Tinted Tone-Up Cream

"Selenium, which is plentiful in goat milk, helps removes pernicious ingredients. Goat milk substance in known to be docile and advantageous to skin thanks to it's biological similarity to breast milk. With it's high moisture content (88%), goat milk provides sufficient hydration, white protein enzyme helps remove dead skin cells on your face.

Gobdigoun Goat Milk First Step Tinted Tone-Up Cream aims at :
  • Skin Whitening
  • Skin Nutrition
  • Skin Tone Adjustment
  • Make Up Durability
  • Mitigation Of Minor Skin Traction & Exfoliation

Texture wise, this is a light weight cream that absorbs easily on skin. Titanium Dioxide is listed as one of it's ingredients, which is mainly used in sunscreen that's designed for sensitive skin. Products that contains high level of Titanium Dioxide are known to leave a white cast on skin. In this case, it's white cast does leaves a noticeable, brightening effect on my skin rather than a chalky effect, much to my delight, as I do find it's hard to find Korean cosmetics brand that matches my skin tone.

I rarely wear heavy makeup on normal days as I never feel comfortable with all the layers of products, especially during hot and humid days. CC cream has always been my preferred choice for the day, as it gives a more natural glowing skin effect. With Gobdigoun Goat Milk First Steps Tinted Tone-Up Cream, I find that it's quite sufficient to skip my usual CC Cream.

Applying Gobdigoun Goat Milk First Step Tinted Tone-Up Cream on top of my sunblock gives me an instant natural, healthy glow with an added brightening effect. It stays matte on my skin, which makes it perfect for those with combination and oily skin, as it doesn't feel greasy at all. If you're looking for a mild coverage base makeup, this is a great choice too as it helps to make your makeup last longer.

Over time, I do noticed my complexion seems to appear lighter in tone, thanks to the nourishing effect of goat milk which is well known for it's skin whitening and moisturizing properties.

Gobdigoun Goat Milk First Steps Tinted Tone-Up Cream can be purchase from Gobdigoun physical stores in Myeong-dong, Seoul, South Korea or you can purchase them online from and they will shipped them directly to you from Korea. For more info, do visit :

Lolita Lempicka Fleur Défendue

My favourite fragrance house has always been Lolita Lempicka.  There is something magical in the way their perfume smell, often with masculine vibe hidden behind sweet feminine notes and feminine designed bottles.

Fleur Défendue is a discontinued scent by Lolita Lempicka. The scent was launched in 2008 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Annick Menardo, the talent behind Hypnotic Poison & Bvlgari Black, the smokey rubber and black tea cult hit during the late 90s.

  1. Top Notes
    • Mimosa,
    • Strawberry Leaf, Wormwood, Green Notes
  2. Heart Notes
    • Anise,
    • Peony,
    • Violet, Iris
  3. Base notes
    • Cherry,
    • Almond,
    • Musk

Fleur Défendue, which means Forbidden Flower, is a flanker to the original Lolita Lempicka. I find it to be a little different from the original Lolita, where licorice and smokey hints of tobacco notes lurks behind violets and sweet cherry notes. Fleur Défendue is a little more crisp, a little more green with blends of floral notes that dries down to a powdery, woody scent. It is not as sweet as the original Lolita Lempicka, it is also lighter, with medium projection and lasting power.

As it starts to dry down, the cherry notes becomes more noticeable, though the scent stays close to the skin, making it more of a skin scent. If you find Lolita Lempicka to be too overpowering, you're probably going to love this more, though personally I prefer the original for it's smokey, gothic vibe. The only downside is this had been discontinued for a while, which makes it harder to get on the market. But if you do stumbled upon this, do give it a try!

Mamonde Flower Facial Mask

I love flowers and anything that's floral inspired, but somehow I'd forgotten to try this Mamonde Flower Facial Mask, which has been sitting for too long in my drawer. Mamonde is a Korean beauty brand that mainly uses real flower extracts in their skincare and makeup. The latest addition to their skincare line are these Mamonde Flower Facial Mask, which are available in 4 different types of mask.

1) Mamonde Pore Clean Clay Mask

This may look like green tea ice cream but it's not, lol. It's the 1st mask that I'd tried out of the 4 Mamonde Flower Facial Mask. Unlike most other clay mask, Mamonde Pore Clean Clay Mask has a soft citrusy floral scent to it. It's soft and creamy and works well in absorbing excess sebum.

Formulated with eco-friendly ingredients, the Mamonde Pore Clean Clay Mask is perfect for those with oily skin and large pores. However those with dry skin wil probably find this to be quite drying on their skin.

2) Mamonde Petal Purifying Bubble Mask

Suitable for dry and dull skin. This is meant to purify and revitalize skin, giving skin a healthier glow. It's main ingredients includes rose petals, green tea and peppermint extract. Once applied on skin, it reacts with air and gradually starts to foam up, creating these soft, fluffy, bubbles.

Although bubble mask can be seen as quite gimmicky, this actually works as a gentle exfoliator and it purifies skin deeply leaving you with cleaner pores.

3) Mamonde Calming Hydro Sleeping Mask

One of the main ingredient for this sleeping mask is Calendula, known for it's skin soothing properties. Mamonde Calming Hydro Sleeping Mask is made to calm and hydrate skin. Texture wise, it's runny, almost watery, thinner than most of the sleeping mask that I'd tried prior to this. Performance wise, it absorbs quickly on skin, great for those with oily skin as it doesn't feel greasy at all, somehow it reminds me of The Face Shop Rasberry Root Sleeping Mask, though it doesn't work quite as well as it in terms of hydration.

I would probably skip this if you're looking for a heavy duty sleeping mask as it doesn't feel hydrating at all. For me it's a little too light weight to be considered as a good sleeping mask.

4) Mamonde Enriched Nutri Sleeping Mask

Lastly, the Mamonde Enriched Nutri Sleeping Mask. The main ingredients includes evening primrose extract, Camellia Oil and Sunflower Oil, which helps to moisturized dry and bloated skin. Texture wise, it's quite heavy, though it does absorbs fast into the skin. It leaves skin feeling soft and dewy the next morning. This mild floral scented sleeping mask is best on dry or normal skin as it can be a little too heavy on oily skin.

Out of the 4, I find Mamonde Petal Purifying Bubble Mask the best suited for my sensitive-combination skin type. But most of all, I love how it adds a little fun to my otherwise normal beauty routine.
