Neverwhere By Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is one of the few fantasy writer that has a distinctive storytelling style. A little strange, quirky and at times whimsical, the plotline and characters are the kind of weird that I'm into 😆 Recently I'd picked up an illustrated version of the Neverwhere novel, which was adapted from Neil Gaiman's TV series that was first aired in 1996, which I haven't got the chance to watch it yet. The illustration was done by Chris Riddell, whom previously done illustrations on Neil Gaiman's other works such as The Graveyard book and Coraline. Neverwhere tells the story of Richard Mayhew who lives in London, leading a somewhat normal but boring life until that fateful day where he accidently stumbled upon a girl named Door, a girl who came from a family of 'openers', who can easily open any door without any key, which changed the course of his life. Now that he has learnt the existence of London Below, Richard can no longer go back to his normal life in Londo
